Everyone's invited to attend and to watch for the Filipino Dragons' regatta debut on the 28th and 29th of March, 2009 to be held at Bedok Reservoir. This is a whole day event called MR500 organized by our sponsor SAVA. Bring yourself and your loudest cheer for the Filipino Dragons! Mabuhay!

Paddles Up!
The stern command you hear alerts your body and submits itself to lean forward and twist as you stretch your arm to your longest reach. Staring narrowly into the water, you feel that others had donned the same position as you. Holding your paddle firmly, your mind suddenly starts to wander as you await the next command. Realizing once again what is at stake, you tell yourself to focus. You can feel yourself breathing, the waters at peace. The boat fidgets a little to the side as if channeling the restlessness stemming from the dead silence. Your breathing suddenly quickens as you catch a glimpse of the drummer about to shout. You grip the paddle by its neck firmly. And the next thing you hear is the roar of the drummer.
